Two small travel tools, shown below as two tabs:
- TER SNCF plans regional train journeys with connections, from the SNCF open data GTFS feed. Pick a departure and an arrival station in the search fields or straight on the map, then a date and an earliest departure time.
- Flixbus vélo maps the destinations reachable from Brussels on a Flixbus coach with a bike slot, with the departure time, travel time, price and days of operation.
There is no server behind the planner. The timetable is split into one Apache Arrow file per day, and the browser downloads three of them (the travel day and the two days after it, for overnight connections). The search itself is RAPTOR (Delling, Pajor and Werneck, 2012), a routing algorithm that works in rounds: round k finds every station reachable with k − 1 changes. It is written in Rust and compiled to WebAssembly.
The interface is in French, like the trains.
